Portable Compliant Isolator
The Portable Compliant Isolator (P.C.I) is a portable glove box capable of operating in both type 1 (positive pressure) and type 2 (negative pressure) modes. In addition to being a fully compliant isolator, the P.C.I can also operate as a fully compliant Class 3 Microbiological Safety Cabinet, with only its exhaust fan running. This highly transportable isolator is designed for use on hospital wards, when access to the central aseptic suite is not available. As such, it is portable with internal batteries that sustain operation without the need for access to power sockets. Typical Applications include: Monoclonal Antibody Preparation (MABS); Chemotherapy Preparation; Gene Therapy; Clinical Trials; Infection Control.
When used as a Class 3 MSC totally the enclosed glove box is an ideal solution for the safe handling of suspect mail and packages. Purpose designed to meet all international standards for microbiological safety cabinets and isolators, the unit offers complete protection from any surface or airborne contaminants, whether microbial or toxic. Unlike an open fronted safety cabinet, the P.C.I is a barrier system that does not rely on airflow to provide protection. This provides a greater level of safety that can be reliably used up to the most hazardous category (CAT 4) of pathogen.

Quantum Air Technology Electrically Elevating Trolley
The Quantum Air Technology electrically elevating trolley was designed primarily for the PCI unit although can be used for many applications. The table dimensions are 800 x 440 mm and the height may be varied from 585 to 785 mm. Materials of construction are Trespa, stainless steel, anodised aluminium and powder coated mild steel.
Elevation is provided by a powerful yet silent 24 VDC 5 A drive located at the base. This is capable of lifting 100 kgs. The trolley is fitted with non-marking castors, two of which are lockable and is very light and easy to manoeuvre.
Lifting speed is 8 mm per second and control is by an up/down centre-sprung toggle switch located under the base of the Trespa top to the left of the operator. When used in conjunction with the PCI, the trolley plugs into the PCI so that it can obtain power from the PCI internal batteries. This allows the trolley to be operated without mains power present i.e. truly mobile operation. |
